Panther Logistics Expands Network With Opening Of New Depot In Warrington

Panther Logistics - a leading force in two man delivery

Two-man delivery specialists Panther Logistics has expanded its national depot network by opening a new site in Warrington in order to support growth following increased demand driven by the pandemic.

Totalling 105,000 sq ft, the site – from which 40 routes will operate by September – is expected to complete 1,000 deliveries per day where it will predominantly service North Wales, Lancashire and Cheshire.

With between 6,000 to 7,000 pallet spaces available on site, the new Warrington depot will also be used for storage of customer stock.

The new facility, which is Panther’s 10th warehouse, is strategically located in close proximity to J21 of the M6 in order to drive further efficiencies in the business’ operations.

The Warrington depot has been opened during a time where Panther has experienced exponential growth over the past 14 months, following the increased demand for non-essential items, a trend that was prompted by consumers spending more time at home due to the pandemic.

As a result of this, online shopping also subsequently boomed, driving the need for Panther’s services on an unprecedented level.

With Panther currently on course to achieve 30% growth this year, the white glove, two-man delivery specialists have responded accordingly by increasing their national network of depots to cater to this increased demand.

Gary McKelvey, Managing Director of Panther Logistics commented:

“The addition of the new depot to our national network is an exciting proposition for both Panther and its valued customers.

“The strategic positioning of our new depot will ensure that our goods will reach their intended destination in pristine condition and in a timely fashion – boosting customer satisfaction during a time where consumer delivery expectations have increased significantly in recent months.

“The final leg of the purchasing process has become increasingly important and swiftly become a brand differentiator – especially over the course of the pandemic where more people have had a greater reliance for home delivery services.

“Therefore, by extending our reach into the North West, our new facility in Warrington will enhance the unrivalled service which has already earned Panther the reputation as the UK’s leading next-day, two-man delivery company as well as help us reduce both handling and stem mileage.”
