Next- Day, Two Person Delivery Expert Panther Logistics Wins Contract With Careco

Leading UK mobility equipment expert CareCo has appointed Panther Logistics to deliver mobility scooters and other heavy-duty products to customers with wide-ranging physical needs.

CareCo – one of the country’s largest suppliers of mobility equipment – will use the two-person specialist’s next-day service which incorporates a two-hour delivery window delivering to their room of choice so the products are ready to use.

As part of the service Panther will deliver to end consumers in private homes.

Tom Stansfield, CareCo’s Operations Director, said it was Panther’s attention to detail in providing a seamless service for the customer that influenced the company’s choice.

Launched in 2009, CareCo started as an e-commerce retailer for larger mobility items including risers and power chairs.

Within four years the company opened its first showroom, allowing customers to sample the products before purchasing.

Today there are 21 CareCo stores, with a further three scheduled to open this year and another five planned for 2022.

Our ultimate aim is for customers to be able to drive to their local branch of CareCo within 40 minutes from wherever they are in the country.

As part of its service Panther collects orders daily from CareCo’s distribution centre in Brentwood, ready for delivery to the end customer.

As awareness of CareCo grows through the store chain, so will continued demand.

Tom Stansfield said it was Panther’s aim of making life easier for the end customer by providing a seamless service which fitted with its own company ethos and led to the partnership.

By delivering to room of choice customers are free to use the items immediately.

Tom Stansfield said with the nature of the CareCo business it was vital to choose a company which understood the needs of the end customer.

He said:

“Excellent customer service and communication are crucial factors in the CareCo offering and not only have we found Panther’s two-person service for larger items a key advantage in terms of reducing damages to items on their way to the customer, but the room of choice feature is a great way to further ensure that we provide an optimal service to our customers.”

Samuel Scott, Head of Sales and Marketing at Panther, added:

“CareCo’s extensive product range features many large, heavy items which is Panther’s area of expertise.

“Their products provide an important lifeline for CareCo customers and any damage upon arrival could prove a real setback.

“We share a number of synergies and are looking forward to supporting both CareCo and their customers as they continue to extend their presence in the UK.”
