Mookie Toys, the UK’s number one supplier of outdoor toys and play equipment, has partnered with leading two-person delivery specialist Panther Logistics in a bid to scale its delivery offering.
Customers of Mookie Toys will now benefit from Panther Logistics’ standard two-person delivery services, which includes next day delivery, white glove room of choice delivery, seven days a week delivery as well as unpacking and removal of all packaging.
The fast-expanding business, which is currently the largest wholly privately owned toy company within the UK, has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 1987.
From its beginnings in a garage in Edgware, the business now boasts a Head Office in Bedfordshire, which is accompanied by a 150,000 sq. ft warehousing facility, a Worcestershire-based design hub, as well as international bases in France, Poland and Hong Kong. Mookie Toys has also recently expanded its manufacturing capabilities through the acquisition of a wood factory in Latvia.
With its success being built on a staunch passion for supplying innovative, durable and high-quality toys for children of all ages, Mookie Toys designs and develops several household brands such as Swingball, TP Toys, Scuttlebug and Tybo – just to name a few – and also distributes for a number of major international toy brands in the UK.
Impressed by Panther’s capabilities, systems and overall customer-centric approach, Mookie Toys took the strategic decision to partner with the two-person delivery specialist to help continue with its expansion goals over the coming years, as well as provide greater flexibility and efficiency for customers during the final mile delivery process.
Having previously used a one-person delivery provider prior to appointing Panther Logistics, Mookie Toys felt that due to the size and weight of its goods, it was fundamental to switch to a two-person carrier to ensure the quality of their products were not compromised in transit.
