Eschmann Teams up with Panther Logistics to Elevate Delivery Offering

ESCHMANN TEAMS UP WITH PANTHER TO ELEVATE DELIVERY OFFERING

Eschmann, a market leader in infection control and decontamination solutions, has appointed the UK’s foremost two-person delivery provider Panther Logistics in a bid to enhance its final mile offering to existing and new customers.

Eschmann will be taking advantage of Panther’s leading two-person offering, which includes next day and Panther’s delivery within business hours service, as well as white glove room of choice delivery.

Founded almost 200 years ago in 1830, Eschmann was first recognised as a surgical solutions provider where it initially manufactured elastic gum instruments at their former site in Central London.

After establishing itself in the surgical instruments marketplace, the historic company utilised its skills and expertise to expand its offering and begin manufacturing operating theatre tables, electrosurgery, surgical suction units and autoclaves.

Fast forward to the present day and Eschmann is a leading manufacturer of autoclaves and surgical suction devices for clinical professionals across the globe.

Predominantly servicing the medical, dental and animal health sectors, Eschmann also supply infection control products such as patented air disinfection units, washer disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners and surface cleaning solutions.

Drawn by their extensive country-wide network, which includes seven sites across the UK, Eschmann took the strategic decision to switch to Panther Logistics as a result of their professionalism and reputation within the marketplace for exemplary two-person delivery services.

With the company looking to establish its brand within new markets, it has diversified its offering to suit multiple medical-oriented sectors – which it believes Panther will be vital in unlocking further.

Having undergone exponential growth in recent years themselves, Panther Group has fast become one of the industry’s most revered names – so much so that it caught the attention of international freight forwarding giant AIT Worldwide Logistics who acquired the two-person delivery specialists in late 2020.

With their entire operation built with the customer in mind, Panther has fast become a trailblazer within their industry, boasting some of the globe’s most recognisable brands among its ever-growing customer portfolio.

Using its extensive expertise working with customers across a wide range of industries, Panther Logistics will now look to enhance the delivery offering from Eschmann through driving flexibility and professionalism within their final mile process.

James Langer, Business Development Manager at Panther Group commented:

“Partnering with a business with the heritage and history of Eschmann is a huge privilege and we couldn’t be more excited to act as their sole two-person delivery provider moving forward.

“The business has certainly endured the test of time over the centuries, adapting its offering by listening to the needs of the contemporary consumer, an ethos that very much resonates with our own.

“With the customer being at the very heart of everything we do, understanding customers’ demands and responding accordingly is vital to ensuring longevity, and Eschmann are the ideal case study for this. As such we are very much looking forward to fast becoming a vital component of their business model moving forward and helping it to enhance its delivery offering for the benefit of its customers in the years to come.”

Simon Chenery, Operations Controller at Eschmann, also said:

“Due to the size of our units, which range from 25 to 60 kilograms, it is vital to partner with a two-person carrier – especially when taking into account the technical nature of our decontamination and surgical products within our range – as fundamentally they need to be handled with the utmost professionalism and care.

“Being able to utilise next day delivery as well as room of choice delivery is also a big advantage to our customers. Many of our orders are required urgently to minimise a practice’s downtime, therefore having that seamless service whereby customers are able to order a piece of equipment and receive it within 48 hours will further set us apart from the competition.

“Partnering with a two-person provider that had extensive white glove experience was vital in helping us to achieve our goals. These included providing our customers, both existing and new, with a delivery service which was timely, efficient and worked to their specific requirements – not the other way around.”
